about idotoo

idotoo.com.au is not your average wedding site. It's all about weddings without the hoo-ha. We are a vibrant community of creative, unique & sometimes slightly nutty people, sharing stories, inspiration, ideas, advice and most importantly love.

idotoo.com.au is for those who aren't afraid to celebrate who they are in love and life – Gay, Goth, Geek, Green, Rockabilly, Adrenaline Junkie, Circus freak, or just a little bit non-traditional.

We hope that by creating a positive space for all couples - gay and straight - to share their love, Australia might just embrace some changes.

It's about your wedding day, your way.

How things started

Michelle Dunn

Michelle's reason for starting idotoo had less to do with weddings & more to do with creating a space to celebrate people that were otherwise not getting the loving they deserved. For her, it's about community & she loves hearing from everyone - all backgrounds, all stories, all types of love.

Originally from Sydney, Michelle wandered solo around the world for a few years before establishing herself as a photographer in Melbourne. She loves it. Really.

She also loves having a crack at boxing, tinkering on the guitar and adding a word here and there to her somewhat stunted Spanish vocabulary.

B.R Knight first began fantasising about being a writer in primary school, where she penned her first books, Stretch (a giraffe's tale of schoolyard bullying) and The Killer Toys. She has featured in Writers Victoria magazine and regularly blogs about life and creativity on Portable Spirituality. Her latest creative venture is a book project with her wife titled The Creative Couples Project. She lives with wife Cecile, and spiritual companion Missy the chocolate Labrador.

Lynne Cruz

Lynne Cruz lives in Coffs Harbour, NSW and is a self-confessed trash TV addict. She loves watching shows such as "The Only Way is Essex", "Geordie Shore", "Wife Swap" and "Don't Tell The Bride". She loves anything to do with weddings and is often found scrolling through pages and pages on Pinterest of wedding dresses, just for the fun of it! Lynne loves photography and is usually snapping images throughout her day, even if it is just of her lunch. The openly gay blogger is also in preparation to be a relationship counsellor. After all, what's a wedding without a happy ending?

The Reflective Bride

PR manager, control freak and exceptionally good dancer, the Reflective Bride lives abroad with her foreign fella. She is getting married in September 2012, and has the unique experience of organising a cross-cultural wedding, from the other side of the world. (Hooray for email!) Throughout her wedding planning, she wondered how other brides organised their nuptials and how it turned out, and wants to share her learnings to help other couples achieve their big-day dreams, with less stress. She blogs at The Reflective Bride, and live-tweets wedding planning on @reflectivebride.
